The Pilots, Ilario Dionisi

Ilario Dionisi was born on 20 December 1983 in Montelibretti, a province of Rome. He made his racing debut in 1998 riding an Aprilia challenge 125. The following year he attained 4th place overall and 3rd in the classification for under 16’s demonstrating early his true potential.
In 2001 still riding an Aprilia, this time on a RSV 1000, with the support of a private team he attained two third places, one pole position with an overall classification of 15th place. The successive year, and for the first time in the Italian Speed Championships, Superstock category, riding a RSV 1000 Aprilia, he competed in only one race but won precious points and valuable experience for the future. In 2001 ha had a serious accident at Monza.
In 2002 he once again competed in the Italian Speed Championships, category Superstock, again riding a RSV 1000 with a private team gaining 10th overall position in the classification and 3rd classification for the under 23 year olds. At the same time he participated in the European Superstock Championship attaining the following results: two races disputed attaining two 4th places and 16th place overall.
In 2003 and still a leading character in the Italian Speed Championships, Superstock category, he rode a SUZUKI GSX-R 1000 for the Celani Team attaining the following results: 5 podium finishes from 5 races gaining his first titles – Runner Up in the Italian Championship and Italian Champion for Under 23’s. The same season in the European Superstock Championship he attained the following results: 9 races disputed, finishing constantly in the top five places, gaining two pole positions, a lap record, two podium places and 7th place in the final classification.
In 2004 he competed in the Italian Speed Championships, Superstock category, riding a SUZUKI GSX-R 1000 for Team Celani. Results: 3 podium finishes in 5 races, 3rd position in the classification and Italian Champion for the Under 23’s. In the European Superstock Championship he attained the following results: one podium finish and constantly the best Suzuki rider.
In 2004 he suffered a fractured right shoulder. In 2005 competing in the Italian Speed Championships, Superbike category, riding a GSX-R for Team Celani he became the youngest ever Superbike rider. He attained the following results: 8th place in the classification and Runner-Up for the Under 25’s Championship, in the World Cup Superstock he achieved 6th place in the final classification.
In 2006 competing in the Italian Speed Championships, Superstock category, riding a MV Agusta for Team Gimotorsport: 4 races disputed gaining 9th place in the classification. He competed again in the Superstock World Cup gaining 13th place overall.
2007: Italian Superstock Championship achieving 3rd place in the classification; 6th place in the Superstock World Cup with the Suzuki Team of Cruciani, Rome attaining 3 victories, one second place and 4 3rd place finishes.
In 2008 he participated in the 600 Supersport World Championships with the official Triumph-Sc Team.
In 2009 competing in the Italian 600 Supersport Championships riding a Honda CBR for Team Improve he attained 7th place in the classification. CONI awarded him with the bronze medal for athletic valor.
In 2010 again staring in the Italian 600 Supersport Championships on the Honda CBR for Team Improve he is Runner-Up gaining second place only 4 points below first place. His Team become the Italian Champions and he attains 2 pole positions, 2 victories, 5 podium finishes from only 7 races.
In 2011 he becomes Italian 600 Supersport Champion on the Honda CBR with Team Improve. Competing in the 600 Supersport World Championships, as a wild card, at Misano he achieves 5th place.
The following year in 2012 he is again Italian 600 Supersport Champion on the Honda CBR with Team Improve.
In 2013 he is still the undisputed leader in the Italian 600 Supersport Championship in the seat of the Honda CBR for Team Improve and is again Runner-Up.
In 2014 he is again a leading character in the Italian Superbike Championships with the Honda CBR of Team Improve.
This year we see him compete in the Italian Speed Championships, 600 Supersport category, in the seat of the MV AGUSTA F3 of Team Ellan Vannin Motorsport, supported by MV Agusta Racing Components, and we are certain he will satisfy his fans and all motorbike racing enthusiasts!
